By chance I came across Golden Horse Farms in early 2024, and in March 2024 we brought home our girl Penny (from Zoe and Mack’s litter). Brittni was a pleasure to work with and you can tell she genuinely cares for her puppies. Their dogs are AKC registered, which gave me peace of mind; and Penny came with all appropriate documentation.
Penny is now 2 years old and is a friend to everyone she meets! She is so sweet and has brought so much joy to our home. She’s very smart, energetic, and loving and is the best family dog for our 3 kids. She does awesome in the car on long road trips, and I can’t remember what life was like before we had her.

We can’t believe Barkley is almost 1! We truly lucked out by coming across the Rideout family and their Goldens at the same time they had one puppy left in their Super Bowl 2025 litter. He has been the best mix of playful puppy and chill, with just the sweetest disposition. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog to join our family that includes our two energetic children and an older boxer; all of whom now have a best friend.

We cannot recommend Golden Horse Farms enough! From the moment the liter was to be expected, Brittni was right on top of all of it. Growing up, we had gotten puppies from a few different breeders in the area. However, none of them were as friendly, knowledgable, trustworthy, and communicable as Brittni and Jake! Our Molly girl has been the easiest to train, has the best temperament, and is so gentle with our son (She is also so pretty). Our vet told us through her first year of her life that she was the calmest puppy he has ever met. Molly has been the best addition to our family & we will forever only get dogs from Brittni and Jake, thats for sure!

We got Meeko now about 4 months old- from Daisy and Cooper’s 2025 litter. I was completely blown away from the beginning phone call. Brittani was upfront, knowledgeable and very friendly. After meeting the puppies for the first time I felt super comfortable moving ahead with them! The kennels were clean and maintained the adult dogs looked healthy and cared for and the puppies were treated with care. Brittani was so informative the entire time sending at minimum weekly video updates and pictures of both puppies and mama. As soon as Brittani found out any information- good or bad related to the puppies she was completely transparent and presented all the information in the video update. I reached out to Brittni at Golden Horse Farms inquiring about upcoming litters, not realizing that two had just been born days earlier — it truly felt like a sign! I had already heard amazing things about Brittni and the love and care she gives to her dogs, and she exceeded every expectation. Throughout the process, Brittni kept me updated several times a week with the most wonderful “pup-dates” and videos. My husband and I recently got married and don’t have children yet, but I joked that Brittni felt like my surrogate mom — she was so nurturing, transparent, and caring throughout the entire journey. I always knew our puppy was in the very best hands. When we finally got to pick up our sweet girl, Navy, after what felt like the longest eight weeks, Brittni spent time sharing her passion for raising healthy, well-socialized, and loving Golden Retrievers. It’s clear that she truly cares about each puppy’s well-being, even long after they go home. We are absolutely in love with Navy and so grateful for everything Brittni does. Im a bit of a researcher so I looked for months for an ethical and loving breeder of that beautiful Red Golden Retriever! I Grew up with Goldens so when my husband and I decided we would like to welcome a new member into our family we knew it had to be a Golden, upon reaching out to the Rideout family Brittni got back to me very quickly and was very helpful with every aspect of bringing a new member into our family! The love there family has for there puppy’s is so heartwarming to see, we brought our baby girl Brandy home and from the time she came home she instantly became the brightest part of our little families day and life she is so curious and confident! We could not have asked for a better experience with Brittni & Jake. From our first meeting visiting the puppies, we knew the Rideout’s truly loved the puppies as if they were all their own. Our puppy, Splash, was one of Zoey and Mack’s January 2024 litter and he could not be more perfect! Brittni and Jake were so knowledgeable, answered any question we had and kept us informed daily of the puppies progress. Splash is the perfect addition to our family and we are so grateful to the Rideout’s for their dedication to truly breeding healthy and happy puppies!

Hi there…here is our story about Hudson!
We purchased our sweet Hudson from the Rideout family in July of 2021. The experience was wonderful when we went to look at the litter of puppies. Their family is kind, and you can absolutely tell that they love what they do, and they genuinely cared about who they sold their puppies to. Hudson has absolutely stolen our hearts. He has been the best addition to our family. He loves people, loves to be loved, and is just an absolutely wonderful dog! He is well loved, spoiled, and we don’t know what we would do without him. These pictures just show a small glimpse of our joy with this sweet puppy! He is now over a year old, and we love him more and more each day! We are grateful to the Rideout family for breeding such wonderful family pets!!

Being neighbors and close friends with the Rideout’s made it an easy decision to purchase our golden Mack. The Rideout’s have carried on a family tradition of breeding golden retrievers and creating Golden Horse Farm, which shows in the experience of purchasing a puppy from them. From the moment you speak with Jake or Brittni you know you are in good hands with the wealth of knowledge they have in regards to the process of picking a puppy and what it takes to raise a golden retriever. Mack has been a wonderful dog who aims to please and never wants to leave your side. He has been great with our children and is always getting along with our other dogs.
